Jewish Historical Society of Napa ValleyThe Jewish Historical Society of Napa Valley is a non-profit organization that seeks to preserve our Jewish heritage by providing excellent programming and education to the Napa Valley.
It is our great pleasure to announce that the JHSNV is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of its founding in 2003 by Donna Mendelsohn and Zoe Kahn Stein.
Our Book: Napa Valley's Jewish Heritage
As the world rushed in to profit from California’s gold strike of 1848, many Jews joined the throng, not necessarily to mine, but to sell merchandise to prospectors.
Dear JHSNV Members and Supporters:
The Jewish Historical Society of Napa Valley (JHSNV) is pleased to announce our association with the virtual Jewish Museum of the American West.
Board Member Lauren Chevlen is the curator of the Napa Valley Exhibition Hall.
Comprised of virtual "Exhibition Halls," JMAW has developed this online resource to educate and inform the public about the contributions made by Jewish settlers of the western United States.
